How to Feed Healthy Raw Dog Food

To successfully transition your dog to high-quality raw food, you need to commit to an adjustment period of 4 to 10 days for them to fully acclimate to the increased proteins and nutrients.

How to Switch to Quality Raw Dog Food

1. Start by introducing a small portion of organic raw food alongside their regular food. Begin with a ratio of 10% raw food to 90% existing food.

2. Over the next 3 to 7 days, systematically increase the raw food portions while decreasing the existing food.

   - Keep in mind that elderly dogs may require the full 7 days to adapt.
   - Puppies should transition directly to high-quality raw dog food without mixing and must be fed three times a day until they reach 12 months of age.

Essential Tips for a Smooth Transition

- Maintain consistent feeding times every day; this routine is crucial.
- Do not offer any snacks or treats during the transition period.
- Ensure that fresh drinking water is always available for your dogs.

By following this plan, you will likely observe significant enhancements in your dogs’ energy, focus, coat shine, and overall happiness with their new raw diet!
